Q: Is Character Combine a free event?
A: Yes. Again, it is completely free. No hidden cost. Nothing sold. No pitches. No infomercials. Nothing for sale; just increased character awareness and practical tools!
Q: Does Patrick Lencioni speak to athletes?
A: Yes! Not only does he speak to professional athletes, he coaches his own kids! As one of America’s most sought after speakers, he has coached the coaching staffs of many professional sports teams in the NBA and NFL. Much of his insights has come from his experience of these sessions.
Q: Who are the other speakers?
A: Ruthie Bolton is no stranger to Sacramento. As a former Sacramento Monarch, she has deep roots in this city. She will share impacting insights for coaches and athletes about the power of tenacity and resilience. Her story led her to the Olympics where she received two gold medals.
Character Combine Director Jason Harper will moderate, host and deliver the final session where Significance Awards will be given to some well deserving coaches. It may be you.
Q: “I don't know who my captain will be. Can I bring a different player?”
A: Yes. Coaches are encouraged to bring their captains. However, we are looking for your most influential players to attend. Bring the player who can best communicate what they learn and the peer level.
You can register any player of influence that is over the age of fourteen, and in at least ninth grade.
Q: Where is the Combine held this year?
A: We will return for a second to Del Oro High School.

Q: Who is on this year's Q & A panel?
A: We are still determining the Q & A panel. However, we have never disappointed in whom we choose to highlight.
Q: Will walk up registration be accepted?
A: Not at this time. We want to be flexible, but due to space limitations, we will close out registration on April 24, 2008.
Q: Breakfast? Gift bag?
A: Yes, yes, and yes. This year each coach will receive a copy of Patrick Lencioni’s best seller, The Five Dysfunctions of Team.
Q: What time does the event start?
A: Event Check In is at 8:30 AM and Session One starts at 9:00 AM. Character Combine Awards will be given in the last session. The day finishes and gift bags are distributed at by 3:00 PM.
